Laptops, desktop PCs, servers, all-in-one PCs, monitors, network switches, UPS units, and desktop printers.

Most collections are free, but charges may apply for physical data destruction (the preferred modern method is secure software erasure, which is free), onsite data destruction (at your own premises), small or out-of-area non-qualifying collections, certain hazardous waste, or specialist handling. All costs will be agreed with you in advance.

Data Security and Accreditation

Data security is our top priority. All data-bearing devices are erased using ADISA-certified software complying with NIST SP 800-88 and IEEE 2883-2022 standards, or they are physically destroyed (shredded) when necessary. Software erasure is safe and secure and environmentally friendly.

IS5 was designed in 1998 for older, magnetic drives. It is essentially obsolete. Modern drives (SSDs etc.) require modern sanitisation methods – purge, clear, block erase, cryptographic erase, and so on.

Yes. Our drivers are cleared at Enhanced DBS level, and collections are made in our own liveried, GPS-tracked vehicles. Unbranded vehicles can be provided on request (there will usually be a charge).

Yes, Computer Disposal Experts Ltd holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, and ISO 45001 certifications. We are a registered upper-tier waste carrier and are fully compliant with WEEE and UK GDPR legislation.

Processing and Environmental Standards

We follow a reuse-first policy. Equipment is wiped, tested, and refurbished where possible. Unusable items are broken down to component level for responsible recycling and metal recovery.

You will receive an Asset Report, a Data Destruction Certificate, and a Waste Transfer Note (where applicable) within 10 working days of processing.
